The "enterprise stack," specifically, refers to Microsoft's .NET platform and the Java platform tools provided by Sun, Oracle, IBM and the open source community. We've found these two platforms provide the optimal mix of flexibility, support, community and total cost of ownership and recommend selecting between these options for any new development.
